cannes 2003 | film

the list of this year cannes film festival official selection has been released. however, i only recognized a few films from the list, such as clint eastwood's mystic river, gus van sant's elephant, and lars von trier's dogville, the rest are mostly unheard of to me. compare to last year's american line-up punch-drunk love, about schmidt, the pianist, 24 hour party people, bowling for columbine.. etc. this is kinda disappointing. =/
